Let's Make It
1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Cut top & bottom of onion, peel. Cut small hole on top of the onion with small knife (or apple corer). Then cut the onion across the center just to the bottom (don't cut all the way through). Then turn onion & make another cut making a +. Now put bouillon cube in hole, and put the butter between all four slices and on top of the bouillon cube.
2
Place onion on large piece of heavy duty foil, fold & roll down the top to make it snug. Bring up the sides of foil & secure snuggly... this is to make sure that the juices don't leak out.
3
Place in oven for 45 minutes. When onion is done, take it out & carefully unfold the top & one side and pour into glass bowl. Turn on broiler to high & put thin layers of mozzarella cheese on top. Put it under the broiler until the cheese browns a little & is bubbling..
