Cook squash and onion until tender. Drain well. Mash and add butter, salt and pepper. Add eggs, milk and half of cheese and cracker crumbs; mix well.
Pour into casserole dish. Put remaining cheese and cracker crumbs on top.
Bake at 375°F degrees for 30 minutes
