Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 can (family size) pork & beans
2 lb ground beef
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 medium chopped onion
1/2 cup celery
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp salt
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 cup water
1 tsp dry mustard
3 Tbsp brown sugar

Spray a casserole dish to prevent food sticking. Put pork and beans in dish.

Brown meat in skillet; add vegetable, cook approximately 8 minutes. Add other ingredients & simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Pour meat mixture over the pork and beans.

Bake at 375 degrees F about 45 to 50 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top last 10 minutes.
