Combine butter and peanut butter in microwave-safe dish and microwave for 2 minutes on high. Remove and stir, then place back into microwave for 2 more minutes on high.
Remove and combine powdered sugar and vanilla to the peanut butter-butter mixture. Mix well.
Pour into 8x8 pan coated with butter and lined with wax paper. Smooth over top and place a second sheet of wax paper on top and place in refrigerator until cool.
