Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 pound hamburger meat
1/4 cup diced onion (can be omitted)
1 packet taco seasoning
2 tablespoons salsa
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup water
1 box Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (regular size)
1 can cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup (regular size)
9 oz crushed tortilla chips

Let's Make It
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Brown hamburger meat and onion in pan, drain fat. After the meat is cooked and drained, add the taco seasoning, salsa, corn and water to the meat and simmer.
While browning hamburger meat, boil the macaroni from the macaroni and cheese. Open the can of soup and pour it in a fairly large mixing bowl. Add the powdered cheese packet from the macaroni and cheese to the soup and stir together.
After the meat mixture has been simmering (approx. 5 minutes) pour the meat mixture into the soup mixture and stir together. Drain the macaroni and add to the mixture. Add the crushed tortilla chips to the mixture. Mix well.
Pour the entire mixture into an 8 x 8 baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray and top with cheese. Bake for approx. 15-20 minutes until the cheese is slightly browned.
