Original recipe yields 1 serving
2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
3/4 cups milk or cream
2 tablespoon light corn syrup
4 tablespoons peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cook sugar, salt, milk and corn syrup to 230 degrees F using candy thermometer. Cool for about 20 minutes to lukewarm. Add peanut butter and vanilla. Beat until creamy.

Pour into lightly buttered 8x8 inch pan. Refrigerate for about 2 hours and cut into squares.

To make cream: Add peanut butter and vanilla as soon as other ingredients are removed from stove. (Great on ice cream.)
