Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 beef roast or pork butt/shoulder (cheaper the cut the better)
Salt and pepper
1 bottle barbecue sauce or 2 cups of homemade sauce
2 package s (8 count each) hamburger buns, Kaiser rolls or onion rolls
Prepared coleslaw (optional)

Salt and pepper meat on all sides. Place meat in slow cooker.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Remove meat to a platter and drain fat from the slow cooker. While the meat is cooling, add barbecue sauce to the slow cooker to warm.

When the meat has rested for 15 minutes, remove and discard the fat. Then shred meat and return to slow cooker. Cook on low for 1-2 hours until heated through and flavors have melted.

Serve on buns/rolls with or without coleslaw.
