Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Wash chicken and pat dry with paper towels. Slice potatoes lengthwise into quarters. Combine soup, milk, and cheese, and set aside.
Using a 9x14-inch baking pan, place chicken down the middle of the pan. Place the sliced potatoes around the outside of the chicken. Salt, pepper and garlic salt the potatoes and chicken. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken and potatoes. Top with onion rings.
Bake approximately 45 minutes until the potatoes and chicken are done.
