Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 box Betty Crocker yellow cake mix
1 box Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 box Del Monte crushed pineapples
1 can cherry filling
Walnut or pecans
1 tub Cool Whip

Follow directions on cake mix box. Let cool. Mix pudding (follow directions on box).

Place 1/2 cake in bowl cut in squares or large pieces. Spread pudding over cake. Drain pineapples and spoon on top of pudding. Spoon cherry filling over pineapples. Sprinkle nuts over cherries. Repeat layering steps until you run out (cake, pudding, pineapples, cherries, and nuts).

Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle more nuts (use as much of the nuts as you desire) on top. Add more cherries for the finishing touch. **If you desire you can add the Cool Whip as a layer after you add the nuts.
