1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
3 cups water
1 Tbsp chicken soup base
2 green onions, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp onion salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed

Combine tomatoes, celery, water, soup base and onions in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.

Add cream, basil, onion salt and pepper. Cook over very low heat for 5 minutes.

Add cheese and cook, stirring constantly until cheese melts.
