1 1/2 lb boneless sirloin, 1-inch slices
2 Tbsp cooking oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 tomatoes, cut in eights
1 large green pepper, sliced
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp cornstarch
Hot cooked pasta or rice

Brown steak in oil. Add to slow cooker. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, and soy sauce to cooker.

Cook on low 5 hours. Add tomatoes and peppers. Cook for an additional hour.

Mix water and cornstarch to make a paste. Stir into slow cooker. Cook on high until sauce thickens. Serve over hot pasta or rice.
