Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cups (or more if needed) powdered sugar
1 large can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Melt chips and butter in heavy pan. Add sugar and milk blending well. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil and cook about 8 minutes. Add vanilla. Serve warm.

Perfect over ice cream or cake. Keeps well in fridge and can be reheated either in microwave or over hot water. (Sue served in crock-pot.)

For Frosting: Cool 2 cups sauce and add about 1 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar, blending well. Chill. Makes enough frosting for 2 (8-inch) layers.
