Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 cup dry kidney or pinto beans
3.5 cups water
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper*
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1 small onion (or 1/4 cup dry onion flakes)
1/4 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp beef soup stock powder or bouillon powder (optional)

Place beans in bowl, cover with boiling water. Combine all other ingredients in 4-6 quart pressure cooker over medium heat.

When liquid in pressure cooker is near boiling, drain beans and add to cooker.

Cover and cook (40 minutes at 15# pressure for pinto beans, 30 minutes at 15# for kidney beans. (Time may be reduced by 10 minutes if bean were soaked overnight.)
