Put rice in large (9x13) casserole, add mushrooms and soup. Combine reserved mushroom liquid with water to measure one soup can full, add to rice. Mix thoroughly.
Place raw chicken pieces on top of rice. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over all.
Cover with foil and bake 2 hours at 325°F degrees. Can bake quicker at 350°F or 375°F.
