Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
3 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
3 cups peeled & chopped apples
1 cup walnuts
2 tsp vanilla
TOPPING
1 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 stick margarine or butter

Grease and flour 10 inch bundt pan. Sift dry ingredients together. In a large mixing bowl beat the eggs. Add sugar and oil and beat for 3 minutes on high speed. Add sifted dry ingredients slowly. This batter is very stiff. Fold in apples, walnuts and vanilla.

Pour into pan and bake for 1 hr. 15 min. at 350°F.

Prepare topping by combining all topping ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let boil for 3 minutes and pour over hot cake when it comes out of the oven. Allow to cool for 15 minutes and remove from pan onto a plate.
