Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 ham bone
7 cups water
Salt and pepper to personal taste
1/2 can tomato soup
1/2 can milk
3 Tbsp garlic powder
3 or 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
1 large can crushed tomatoes
5 potatoes, peeled and cubed
lb 3/4 to 1 fresh green beans cut into halves
1 large Vidalia onion, sliced thin

Let's Make It

Place the ham bone in the water. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Let it sit over low medium heat for about 1 hour.

Mix tomato soup and milk and add with the remaining ingredients into pot. Bring heat up to medium high. Once it begins to boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cover for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Serve with a bread of your choice and butter. Enjoy!!
