4 medium cooking potatoes, cut into quarter squares

Let's Make It
Season ground beef with salt and pepper and cook in a skillet. At the same time, cook potatoes in salted water until tender enough to mash. Drain meat once it's no longer pink. Mash potatoes with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
Preheat oven to about 350°F. Spread meat into bottom of casserole dish. Drain liquid off vegetables and pour on top of meat. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of vegetables if you prefer. Spread mashed potatoes on top of vegetables. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of mashed potatoes.
Pop casserole into oven for about 15-20 minutes to melt cheese and heat vegetables. Caution! Casserole will be hot.
