Cream butter until light and fluffy. Stir in cheese and continue beating. Sift and measure plain flour; add salt. Slowly stir in flour; add pepper. Do not overbeat.
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. I use a cookie shooter.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes. Cool. Store in airtight container.
