Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
4 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
2 egg yolks
2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1 1/2 tsp ground allspice
Coating:
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl beat butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Drop by tsp. on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes until lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes.

In medium bowl, mix coating ingredients. Gently roll warm cookies in mixture. Cool 5 minutes and roll again in mixture.
