In a large sauce pan, combine the chocolate chips, butter, peanut butter, and vanilla. Melt ingredients on low-medium heat stirring frequently until well mixed.
Turn down to the lowest stove setting and pour Chex rice squares into the pan. Gently stir the cereal with a spoon. Continue to gently stir until each piece of cereal is completely coated with chocolate.
Pour 1/2 cup of powdered sugar into the bottom of each two large 1-gallon bags. Fill the 2 bags evenly with mixture. Put another 1/2 cup of powdered sugar on the top of each mixture. Close bag securely and shake until all of the cereal is coated with the powdered sugar. Put the mix into an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place.
