Orzo Fruit Salad

Original recipe yields 1 serving
2 cans mandarin oranges
16 oz pineapple chunks
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
Dash of salt
16 oz orzo, cook, rinse and drain
1 jar maraschino cherries, cut into halves
1 tub (9 oz.) Cool Whip

Drain and reserve juice from oranges and pineapple. In small sauce pan, combine juices with sugar, flour and salt. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat.

Combine mixture with cooked orzo. Chill overnight in refrigerator.

Drain cherries and discard juice. Blend all fruit and Cool Whip into orzo custard mixture.
