Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin
1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
2-3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1 pkg yellow or butter cake mix (moist deluxe)
1/2 cup or more to taste chopped pecans
1 stick butter

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, spice, and salt in lg. bowl.

Spray 9x13" cake pan with cooking spray and pour in pumpkin mixture. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over mixture and top with pecans. Slice butter into approximately 24 patties and place on top of pecans. Arrange patties to cover cake evenly.

Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown. Allow about 15 minutes to cool before cutting...serve with dollop of Cool Whip.
