Place provolone, then salami, then American cheese on one slice of Italian bread. Spread optional butter on opposite piece of bread and leave face up.
Place both face up, on baking pan.
Place in non preheated oven at 400°F. Heat about 7 minutes or until cheese is melted thoroughly. Cut in half and enjoy.
