Boil macaroni to al dente. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Combine milk, eggs & spices in a small bowl. Cut stick of butter/margarine into pats.
Spray large casserole/lasagna pan with cooking spray. Layer bottom of pan with macaroni, then cheese (be generous), then 5-6 pats spread evenly. Repeat layers until pan is full to top (top layer should be pats). Pour milk/egg mixture over the top of macaroni, covering entire surface area.
Cover with foil and bake for 1 1/2-2 hours, until cheese is completely melted and bubbling. Remove foil and bake for 15 minutes more.
