Original recipe yields 1 serving
10 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
4 oz extra virgin olive oil
1 can (4 oz.) tomato sauce (flavored optional)
Salt (to salt pasta water)
1 bag (16 oz.) pasta
7 dash es red wine vinegar
4 oz red wine (optional)

Saute garlic and red pepper flakes in olive oil for 4 to 5 minutes on medium low. Add tomato sauce, continue cooking on medium for about 10 minutes.

Cook pasta at this time (while waiting for tomato sauce to reduce down) according to package directions (do not forget to salt the water).

Add the red wine vinegar and red wine if desired. Continue reducing to desired liquid consistency.
