Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 piece corned beef (a nice piece with not too much fat)
1 head cabbage
Potatoes (as needed)
1 container dried onion flakes
2 cans diced tomatoes with chilies
Chicken broth or water

1. Boil corned beef until tender, cool until it will not burn your fingers. Slice corned beef into 1/4" slices and then dice into small pieces. Put in fridge while you dice everything else.

2. Slice head of cabbage (after washing) into 1/4" slices and then dice into smaller pieces. Refrigerate the bowl of cabbage until ready.

3. Use as many potatoes as you would need for your family: wash, slice in round 1/4" pieces and dice.

4. Using a large slow cooker, put just enough water or chicken broth in to cover the bottom. Now you make layers of each ingredient, alternating them so they are well mixed.

5. Let cook 8 hours until it was time to leave for the dinner but you could probably change it to 4 hours, everybody at the church dinner loved it and spoke of it.
