1 bag (5 lb.) white potatoes, peeled and cut into med size pieces
1 Tbsp salt
1 stick butter
1 tsp pepper
1/2-1 cup milk

Let's Make It
In a large pot, add prepared potatoes, enough water to cover potatoes and salt. Cover pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook till potatoes are soft when you poke them with a fork. Remove from stove and drain, reserve some of the liquid about 2-3 cups, to use for gravy.
Mash potatoes with a potato masher or you can use an electric mixer. (I like a hand potato masher best, so the potatoes don't get to mushy. I like mine a little lumpy.)
Add butter, pepper, and milk. Mash to your likeness.
