Original recipe yields 1 serving
2 cans (20 oz. each) chunky pineapple
2 cans (11 oz. each) mandarin oranges
1 jar (10 oz.) slice maraschino cherries, drained
1 lb orzo #43 or #47
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip

Drain pineapple & mandarin oranges, saving juice. Put pineapple, oranges & cherries in covered container & refrigerate.

Cook orzo in water until tender. Rinse well & leave to drain.

Mix together sugar, flour, eggs and juice from fruit. Cook mixture about 10 minutes until a little thick.

Place orzo in large bowl and pour hot sauce over orzo. Cover & refrigerate overnight. In the morning fold in fruit and Cool Whip.
