Set 1 cup of flour aside and add salt and baking powder to it. Use this first then add flour as necessary. Beat eggs until foamy and lemon colored. Add sugar or Splenda and beat very well. Add oil and beat again. Add the 1 cup of prepared flour and mix well. Add rest of flour to make a kneadable dough not too sticky and not too dry.
Knead dough until it is smooth and satin looking (shiny). Break dough into 3 or 4 smaller balls and let rest about 30 minutes covered and covered by a clean cloth. Roll out balls one at a time until thin like a dime. Cut into strips 1-inch wide then shape into a bow like a pretzel.
Fry in deep hot oil they will brown very quickly. Remove and drain in a colander sprinkle with sugar. They keep well in an air tight container.
