1 can diced green chiles or 1 fresh jalapeno with ribs/seeds removed

File seasoning (prefer no salt version--or Cajun seasoning)

Remove sausage from casings and brown. Make small ground as this is what creates the "dirty" look. Use some of drippings, but drain excess.
Brown boudin sausage after removing casings.
Combine all ingredients and cook until rice has absorbed all liquid. I use electric rice cooker.
