Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 box yellow cake mix - bake as directed or purchase a Sara Lee pound cake
1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding mix or 1 lg. box pudding - cook as directed on box
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1 qt fresh strawberries
1 green apple, sliced
3 bananas
3 kiwi, peeled and sliced (optional)
1 lg. tub Cool Whip
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Bake cake and cool. Prepare pudding as directed on box. Divide all ingredients in half.

Break cake into pieces and put a layer of each into a four quart clear casserole dish: cake, pineapple, strawberries, green apple slices, bananas, kiwi, Cool Whip, and pecans (optional). Repeat. Cover whole cake with Cool Whip.

Let set several hours or overnight. Put one large strawberry on top for decoration.
