Combine beer, Bisquick and paprika. Whisk to make a smooth, not too thick batter.
Fold in the halibut, and season batter with salt and pepper.
Fry halibut in butter and oil for about 7 minutes per side, depending on their thickness. Sprinkle both sides with seafood seasoning. Make sure the heat is high enough to brown the fish and form a crust. Serve with wedges of fresh lemon.
