3/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 mashed bananas
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups cake flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sour milk

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, banana, and vanilla. Beat well. In a separate bowl, add flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk.

Divide and spread into 2 (9 inch) cake pans, greased and floured.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 35 minutes.
