Cream together shortening, sugar and egg. Sift together flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda and nutmeg. Add to cream mixture. Mash bananas and add in, alternate with oatmeal. Stir in walnuts or raisins.
Drop by teaspoon on to ungreased pan.
Bake at 400°F till golden brown, about 4-8 minutes.
