Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 egg
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp sage
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 lb ground chuck
1 cup cracker crumbs round buttery type about 24 crackers
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup grated Swiss cheese, divided
2-3 strips bacon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat egg in large bowl. Add milk, sage, salt and pepper and mix. Add beef, crumbs, onion and 1/2 cup cheese and mix.

Form loaf in 2 qt rectangle baking dish. Arrange bacon on top.

Bake 40 minutes. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake another 10 minutes.
