1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 pound stew beef
1 package onion soup mix
1 can Italian diced tomatoes
1 package au jus gravy mix
3 cups water, divided
1 can whole green beans
1 can butter beans
1 can whole kernel corn
1 cup baby carrots
1/2 cup red wine

In a large soup pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add meat, stirring until browned and cooked through. Stir in onion soup mix and diced tomatoes, coating the pieces of meat.

In a measuring cup, stir in packaged au jus mix to 1 cup water, and add to pot. Stir in remaining 2 cups water. Cover and bring to slow boil. Lower heat to simmer.

Drain and rinse canned vegetables and beans, and add to soup. Add red wine. Cover and simmer for 2 hours.
