Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 cup brown lentils, rinsed & drained
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup chopped onion
4 cups water
1-1/2 tsp instant chicken bouillon granule 1/2 tsp. lemon peel
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
2 minced garlic cloves
1 cup Oscar Mayer 96% Fat-Free Ham, chopped
2 cups fresh chopped spinach

In a 3-1/2-4 quart slow cooker, combine lentils, celery, carrots and onion.

Stir in water, bouillon, lemon peel, cayenne pepper and garlic.

Cover, cook on low for 7-8 hrs, or on high for 3-1/2-4 hrs. If using low-setting, turn to high, add ham for the last 10 min. Stir in spinach.
