Original recipe yields 1 serving
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
1-1/2 tsp vanilla
2-1/4 cups plus 2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp water
1/2 cup dried sweet cherries
1 pkg (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chunks
1 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place parchment paper on top of two baking sheets. Set aside. With mixer on med speed, beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until blended. In bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mix, beating well.

In microwaveable bowl, combine 1 Tbsp. water and dried cherries, microwave on high for 30 seconds, stirring once. Let stand 10 min. Add chocolate chunks to cookie mix, stir. Add cherries and white chocolate chips to mix, stir until well blended.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper on baking sheets.

Bake for 8-14 min, or until light brown. Remove to racks to cool.
