1 pkg chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients to make cake)
14 oz Kraft Caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake according to package directions. Pour 1/2 the cake batter into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile melt caramels, evaporated milk and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Pour caramel mixture over hot cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.

Pour remaining cake batter over nuts. Bake 15 minutes. Let cake cool and frost with your favorite frosting.
