Rinse the beans thoroughly, cover with water. Microwave for about 3 minutes at medium heat.
Cut a slice off of a block of Velveeta (I always buy the large 32 oz. block), cut into cubes. Throw the pile of cubes into a glass bowl. Cover the blocks of Velveeta with the cheddar. Pour in the milk; everything should be swimming just a little bit. Dump in the seasoning mix and the black beans. Mix thoroughly.
Microwave for about 5 minutes at medium heat, stirring every minute or minute and a half.
When everything is all melted, serve with chips.
