Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 cups dark sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup whole milk
1 1/2 Tbsp real butter
8 marshmallows
Pecans as liked, whole or pieces
2 tsp vanilla
Must use candy thermometer

Mix dark sugar, white sugar, whole milk, and butter. Cook and add 8 marshmallows just before reaching soft ball. Remove from heat when reach softball.

Add pecans and vanilla, stir until mixture changes thickness. You can tell its time to spoon when candy hardens around middle of pot.

Spoon onto GLAD PLASTIC WRAP with newspaper underneath. I use small spoon or soup spoon depending on the size I want. Work fast as candy will set very fast. Reheat if needed. Stop for a second after third spoonful as it should began to set already. Cook more if it is not getting hard. Continue cooking or spooning. Bet you can't eat just one.
