Original recipe yields 1 serving
2 Tbsp oil, divided
3 cloves garlic, divided
2 small pkg. extra lean stew meat, cut into cubes
2 cups cooked macaroni or ditalini #45
3 slices raw bacon
1 medium white onion
20 oz /600 mls chicken broth
1 large can Hunts Tomato Sauce with Roasted Garlic
1 large can diced tomatoes

Heat 1 Tbsp of oil, add 1 diced garlic clove and stew meat, cook until brown. Add water and simmer for 1 hour.

Cook macaroni or ditalini al dente and put two cups away.

In a big pot, add 1 Tbsp. of oil and add chopped bacon. When bacon is 1/2 cooked add 2 cloves of sliced garlic. When garlic is brown, add the chopped onion and cook till translucent. Then add chicken broth, when broth is heated, add the tomato sauce with roasted garlic and add the diced tomatoes. Heat sauce for 15 min then add 2 cups of macaroni or ditalini. Drain the stew meat and add to sauce/soup and cook on med. heat for about 5 min. Skim fat off top of soup and serve hot.
