Original recipe yields 1 serving
Cookies:
8 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa (Hershey)
1 cup Crisco
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon rum extract OR regular rum
Frosting:
1 lb confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 Tab. vegetable oil
1 cup milk plus as needed to make it a little runny for dipping in cookies when their still warm (makes a glaze)

Cookies:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together with your prewashed hands.

In the palms of your hands roll into balls, the size of walnuts. Place on baking sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and frost warm.

Frosting:

Mix ingredients well. Dip warm cookies in frosting and set on a cooling rack.
