Original recipe yields 1 serving
4 round steaks, sliced thin for rolling (very thin)
Paprika, salt, pepper, mustard
4 slices bacon
2 cups thinly sliced carrots
2 cups thinly sliced onions
1 bay leaf

Start by laying the first steak out flat. Spread mustard, paprika, salt & pepper. Layer bacon, carrots and onions. Tightly roll and skewer to hold in place repeat, same with the other 3 steaks.

Brown in skillet over medium heat. Place into a 6 quart Dutch oven filled 1/3 with water. Place bay leaf in water. Cook on medium heat for 30 min.

Remove meat when done and use stock to make gravy. Let stand for a couple of minutes and slice or serve whole with mashed potatoes or potato dumplings.
