5 pounds potatoes, peeled
1 1/2 pounds bacon, cut into small bite size pieces
3 cups whole milk
1 carton whipping cream
1 small onion, diced
1 pkg instant potatoes

Put potatoes in clear water to cover them. Add little salt to water, bring to boil and cook until potatoes are tender, approx. 15 min.

While potatoes are cooking, cook bacon in skillet until brown.

Add whole milk and whipping cream to potatoes. Add small onion, bacon with drippings and instant potatoes pkg. Cook until hot, stirring occasionally so that it doesn't stick.
