Eye of Round Steak & Gravy

1 cup plain flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp garlic powder
8 thin-sliced eye of round steaks or other tough steak
1-2 Tbsp vegetable oil
20 oz beef broth
2 Tbsp garlic and onion spice mix

Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Wash steaks and drain. Dredge steaks in flour mixture, covering both sides.

Place steaks in heated electric skillet with oil. Fry each side at least 5 min.

Pour in 1/2 beef broth and spice mix. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer 2-3 hours. Add additional broth as needed.
