Original recipe yields 1 serving
4 cups dry beans (I use pinto and black beans) or you can use 5 to 6 canned beans
5-6 turkey breasts or chicken breasts
4-5 bay leaves
1/2 Tbsp garlic salt or 5 or 6 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/2 Tbsp paprika
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp cumin
4 cans diced tomatoes
1 large onion, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
Hot sauce to taste

Soak beans overnight. Add all ingredients (except chicken) to the beans in crock-pot.

Cook 6 to 8 hours or until black beans are done.

Boil chicken (whole or cut up) with some garlic and ginger. When chicken is cooked, chop or shred and add to beans at last couple hours of cooking time.*
