Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 cake yeast or 3 dry fast acting yeast packets
2 cups warm water 110 degrees
1 dozen eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup melted butter
1 Tbsp vegetable oil

Let's Make It

Dissolve yeast into warm water. Add eggs, sugar and melted butter. Beat all together. Add flour a little at a time. Use a kneading hook or by hand till it all comes together.

To let rise: Add a little oil to large bowl and roll dough in it. Cover with saran wrap and let rise usually about 1&1/2 hours till double in size.

Then shape into bread size loaves shaped into ropes. Shape ropes into braids and rise again 1&1/2 hours.

Brush with egg wash. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes.
