Holly's Banana Bread

Original recipe yields 1 serving
1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup mashed bananas (approx 2 bananas)
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Thoroughly mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Alternately mix in dry ingredients and bananas to creamed mixture, blending well after each addition. Stir in nuts.

Pour into well greased pan (9x5x3 loaf pan).

Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let set for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool on rack.
