Original recipe yields 1 serving
2 lg. onions, chopped
10 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
2 lb ground beef
4 cans (14 oz. each) red kidney beans
1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes
2 cans (6 oz. each) tomato paste
1 can (14 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (14 oz.) crushed tomatoes (fine herbs and spices)
4 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups shredded cheese

Brown onions and garlic, add red peppers. Once done add to large crock-pot.

Brown meat and add a bit of salt and pepper. Drain off excess fat. Add to crock-pot once done. Add and mix in remaining ingredients along with spices.

Set crock-pot to low heat and let simmer for 6-8 hours. Stir chili a few times while cooking.

Sprinkle shredded cheese when serving in bowls.
